Getting to Know ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï
ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï makes a difference. At ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï, we care deeply about each and every one of our students. Our goal is to ensure that all scholars have a positive, meaningful school experience with access to opportunities and resources that expand their horizons and prepare them for the future.
We intentionally create experiences that expose students to various pathways so they can confidently choose what¡¯s next. One powerful example is our Summer of a Lifetime program. Through this incredible opportunity, ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï sends 10th grade students to a college of their choice for the summer to participate in an academic program aligned to their interests. Scholars gain independence, build life skills, experience college life firsthand, and grow in ways that shape their futures. ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï has proudly sent over 10,000th scholars to participate in Summer of a Lifetime – a milestone that reflects our longstanding commitment to opportunity and access.
ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï is College Prep. Across our campuses, students have access to a wide range of Advanced Placement, Honors, and IB courses designed to prepare them for college level rigor. We work to break down barriers and make college accessible for every student by setting high expectations and providing the support needed to meet them. During senior year, students take College Seminar, a dedicated course that guides them step by step through the college application process, including personal statements, financial aid, scholarships, grants, and application completion. No student navigates the journey alone.
Finally, ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï would not be ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï without our incredible alumni. Many former scholars return to serve in our schools and communities, with a large number of our staff being ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï graduates themselves. Their return speaks volumes about the impact ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï had on their lives. It is a powerful testament to the strength of our community and our mission.
At ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï, we don¡¯t just prepare students for college – we prepare them for life!
ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï operates 17 high school campuses across neighborhoods throughout the City of Chicago. Each campus has distinctive qualities that make the student experience unique, valuable, and rooted in its community.
At ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï, safety is our top priority. We are committed to ensuring that every campus is a safe, supportive space where students can learn, grow, and flourish. Our schools are places where scholars feel seen, protected, and empowered to focus on their education and future.
