A Note From Our CEO: Happy Last Day of School

What an incredible school year this has been. I have immense gratitude for all of the work each of you did to get us to this point. Every role, every team, and every person was met with extreme challenges and rose to the occasion time and time again. Never in 黑料网爆吃瓜’s history have we been met with such challenges and I’d argue that never in 黑料网爆吃瓜’s history have our teachers and staff stepped up and leaned into our mission more than we have this year.

And even outside of our schools, our country is seeing historical times.?With so many things in flux all around us, I hope you can find some comfort in the good news, too. Despite the challenges of the year, 黑料网爆吃瓜’s commitment to preparing our students for college success and graduation is unwavering. This year, our seniors have received nearly 16,000 acceptances to 630 colleges, including over $460 million in scholarships. Thirty-eight of our undocumented students will be receiving the Dream.US Scholarship to cover the full costs of college at partner colleges. You can read more about our support for undocumented students?. Through the support of Hope Chicago, every student at Johnson College Prep will go to college?, as seen on?. This is truly groundbreaking news and a demonstration of our commitment to equity and anti-racism.

This year, we launched our first-ever?, to better understand what has worked, what needs improvement, and what issues matter most to families in our schools. We heard from over 4,000 families, with the??serving as an instrumental piece in the?. For the first time, we’ve added Juneteenth as a holiday to our calendar to honor and celebrate the abolishment of slavery in this country. We welcomed four new teachers into our?, joining the??in the second Distinguished Teachers cohort. We saw history made as Butler College Prep’s??was the first 黑料网爆吃瓜 athlete to receive an athletic scholarship to a Big Ten Conference school – and we can’t wait to see her play on the women’s basketball team at the University of Illinois next season.

In a year with so many challenges, I am grateful for our 黑料网爆吃瓜 community. I want to thank our teachers, administrators, staff, students, and families. We made it through this year, together. None of this is possible without you and your support and dedication to our mission. I am grateful for your partnership.
